Car Seats and Weekends

If I could just get the passenger seat in our car up an inch or so I would have just about no more glitches when it comes to sitting! The driver's seat does go up and down but not the passenger seat......I guess a pillow would do it. Pretty much back to being able to do everything now and I'm so thankful :)

I was recently thinking that we are really enjoying the weekends in the last few years. You see for 15 +yrs. we worked on Sat. and either before or after the Sunday meetings. So now being able to go in service, maybe socialize a bit in the evening and not have to run out of the Sunday meetings to go to work is just wonderful! We aren't dead tired by Sunday night. Yikes, weekends were the busiest days when we were running our spa. Also for years we did all the laundry for the spa at home. Dragging home huge sacks of sheets and towels and body wraps. We made a good living for the family but so glad those days are over!

Not too much new going on. I did decide to stop doing in-home medication box set ups for old folks. Too much liability. And what I made doing it didn't warrant paying for all the licenses necessary, which are due at the end of the month. Still have the other two jobs which are sporadic at best right now.

Hope those who read this are doing well! Till next time......

Update

In the famous words of Inspector Clouseau......I can walk! Doing pretty well with only a few glitches here and there now. My x-rays looked fine and muscle testing to see if I had a bulging disc were negative so I guess it was just a freak nerve pinch. There was a slight narrowing at the very end of the lumbar vertebrae just before the sacrum which is exactly where the hot knife feeling was. Wish I knew what the movement was that I did to cause it so I could avoid ever doing that again!

I have to give a gold star to Mikey......he waited on me hand and foot the whole time I was down. What an awesome hubby I have!

It's super cold here in Reno lately. There has also been freezing fog that the Native Americans call pogonip. The snow pack in the mountains is 200%! It seems like it's been a long winter already but it's only been a few weeks that it's been officially winter :(

It was a great coincidence that I've virtually had no work for the last 4 weeks but I couldn't have done much anyway! It is starting to pick up a bit now.

We got our convention dates the other night: Aug. 19-21 in Sacramento. The hotel list was almost completely different. Now there are only 3 hotels within walking distance. I was happy to be able to get a room at one of those. We really liked parking the car and walking everywhere last year.

That's all the news from us. Hope everyone is well :)
