Our Memorial

Memorial evening was not bad weather-wise, as it was last year. I did wear a coat but probably didn't really need it. Last year as I recall it was snowing sideways!

We met with our ASL group and I believe the total was 264. I'm thinking that's about 140 more than we have publishers! Many, many inactive ones, family members and interested ones attended.

I really liked the speaker's style and the way he presented the information. He was very personable and friendly. Natural. Seemed like a nice guy. He and his wife came from Walkill. I heard they too are in an ASL congregation back there.

I can't say we had any attend that we invited. Jess was excited that a workmate was going to come but she ended up getting sick that day. Perhaps she can still start a study with her!

Mike and I need about 5 hours each still to complete our special hour requirement for aux. pioneering this month. The weather has basically been in the 60s and pleasant so it shouldn't be too hard.

How did everyone else's Memorials go?

Could This Be Spring?

It was almost 80 yesterday and today it was close to it! This warmer weather is certainly lifting everyone's spirits. And it's great for our congregation because we have the C.O. this week and we start the invitation work tomorrow! We have at last count.........drum roll........58 aux. pioneers + 24 reg. pioneers this month! 82 !! Wonder how long it will take to arrange for service Sat. morning. Ha, ha.......I think Michael has it all figured out. I hope he does! I am still getting on call nursing gigs every week. I go to the adult day care, health fairs, insurance assessments and I have an infusion/pt. teaching thing next week. It's quite varied. I actually wish I could just find a two day a week 8 to 10 hr. a day job that was regular. I'll keep looking :) Hope all is well with everyone. Have a great invitation work and Memorial!
