Just wanted to let everyone know that our plans are running on schedule.
We will leave the Palm Springs area on Jan. 2nd or 3rd.
Right now Mike is working with some of his old clients almost every day. This way we'll have some $ to pay for our travel and maybe enough to help us get set up once we get to Valle.
Everyday it seems we discover something that needs to be fixed before we leave! One of the phones we bought to use in Mexico won't work there we have found. So that goes back and a new one is coming. Now the computer keeps freezing up into bizarre patterns on the screen. Need to investigate that. Should have it all cleared up within a couple of weeks.
The older van that we bought before we left Reno is running great. It got over 30 mpg on our trip to Palm Springs! Really loaded down too. We were told we look like the Clampett Family on Beverly Hillbillies when the van is loaded up!
Well, just checking in. Might write again right before we leave for Valle.

Wow! Great to hear from you. We had heard Via is getting a new elder and beautiful sister, but had not idea it was you two!? We are excited for you guys!! My Susan and I are looking at Baha, south of Ensenada. We've been in San Miguel de Allende for 3 years now and being the gypsies that we are, the wonderlust is taking hold. I'll contact you about some business that I'm doing from here that is working really great for us so that we don't have go thru our savings. Who knows, you might just find it interesting.
Ciao!

We are glad to have more travelers to keep track of on a blog! Our kids are flying out of Costa Rica tomorrow, Tues. Dec. 16, scheduled for 1:30pm. They are planning on spending a few days in Kentucky saying good by to their friends there; then they plan to pick up their cars & their other stuff they have stored there & they will drive across country to Reno. If all goes according to plan they will be here in Reno on the 26th or 27th. We are excited at the prospect of having them close again. Hope all your plans go according to schedule!

I'm glad to hear your van ran well on the way down there, that bodes well for the rest of the trip! I'm sure you'll be well taken care of when you get down there. Make sure to take plenty of pictures to post! And be glad you're heading where you are. Its 10 degrees right now and I would not be surprised if it got down to 5 overnight. Its supposed to be 2 degrees Friday morning. OY VEY!
I want to see a picture of the van you got! I never saw it... Good to hear you are doing well. We have about a foot of snow here in Wallkill right now and it's pretty cold.
It sure was great to see you two in ps, hope to come and visit you soon in mexico, keep those pictures coming cant wait for the next blog, take care from B and C keller
Hey Mike & Sue;
Really cool to finally catch up to you two. Lily and I have been here in the Atlanta, Georgia area for over 15-yrs now. Lily's in her 23rd year of pioneering and still recieving Jehovah's blessings. Me, well I'm kept busier than a one-legged man in a dance contest. We're currently serving in the East Lake congregation located just east of Atlanta in Decatur, Georgia.
Hope to hear from you soon!
